The Greensboro Council of Garden Clubs’ Objectives

To create:

  • a better and more beautiful Greensboro through civic planting
  • the inspiration of flower shoes and garden tours
  • a wider knowledge of horticulture, landscaping, and garden design

To promote:

  • well-kept lawns
  • the protection of birds about us
  • the preservation of native trees and plants
  • the improvement of our environment quality
  • a Garden Club or Garden Club Member in every section of Greensboro with the attendant beauty this would ensure

Join a Garden Club

The Greensboro Council of Garden Clubs, Inc. invites you to join a garden club. Garden clubs – in your neighborhood – may have openings for new members! Do you have a few friends in your neighborhood who enjoy flowers, landscaping, and gardening?  Then ask us how to help you and at least 7 other people form a garden club. Make mew friends, learn new eco-friendly gardening and help your community today! Join club members whose concerns include the environment, conservation of natural resource and preservation of gardens. Club members participate in projects and beautification, support scholarships in horticulture, study landscape design, participate in flower shows and enjoy excellent speakers.Youth garden clubs offer children an opportunity to dig, plant, and grow.If you would like more information on how to become a club member, or would like to start your own local garden club, send your name, address, and phone number to:
